Xi urges solid efforts to win battle against poverty

BEIJING — President Xi Jinping on Monday called on enhanced and solid efforts to win the battle against poverty.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, gave the instruction ahead of the fourth National Poverty Relief Day.
All-out efforts should be made for poverty relief work as it is the toughest of all tough battles, said Xi.
