5.7-magnitude quake hits Xinjiang: CENC

BEIJING - A 5.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Kuqa county in Aksu prefecture in Northwest China's Xinjiang at 6:11 pm Saturday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was monitored at 42.11 degrees north latitude and 83.43 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 6 km, the center said in a statement.
