Southwestern Guizhou province is home to many picturesque historic towns.

Among these getaways is Longli, which was not a well-known destination until the first International New Media Art Festival held there during last year's National Day Holiday.

Now, outdoor artworks there are drawing tourists from across the country.

The second edition of the festival will return to Longli from Oct 1 to 5.

But unlike last year when completed artworks were shipped to the town, this year artists will arrive in Longli in the next few weeks to create and install location-specific works. And their works will be on permanent display in the town.
